Waterjet cutting gives the following advantages:-

• No material degradation, producing extremely smooth edges

Water cutting has a tremendous advantage over traditional manufacturing methods when dealing with thich rubbers and sponges or when customers are developing new products and require small quantities of different components.  As no tooling is required and with a few simple keystrokes at the processor controller, infinite variations on dimensions are possible.
